With the blessings of God and his holiness Shri. Gagangiri Maharaj, Shri. Pushpakant Anant Mhatre, created the first and unique temple in Maharashtra - Sri Siddha Sanatan Mandir. From tender age of twenty and continuous fifty years ahead, he has been the efficient trustee and honorary Secretary of Sri Mukteswar temple.
He has been inspirator to everyone who has been around him, to have a positive attitude towards ways of life. 'HE' is the doer, we are to behave as per His wishes, this is his motto and has been idol to everyone in his field by creating his different image. He believed that this is an effective medium to transform Politics to Social work and we have to make it pure. That is why while working on various responsible designations, he has left his mark on the masses. He held important positions as Corporator for twenty-four years in Mumbai Municipal Corporation from President of Market and Garden Committee to various committees, twice as President to Statutory Committee and Assembly Leader. He proved that he was the right person for each post, he has been idol to future mass's representative.
He established first 'Sahakar Mandai' - Co-operative Market in Mumbai to provide employment to poor and needy. He also started Sadhvi Savitribai Phule Sewing School through Juhu Nutan Yuvak Mandal to make women independent. He showed new way by conferences. He strengthen their self-esteem and self confident. They should get all the facilities given by the government. Reservations for OBC in fields of education, jobs, business and Politics have become an historical achievement. To improve financial status of common man, he established Co-operative Societies (Patsantha). After loosing his parents in early childhood, he was in an orphanage with his siblings thereafter he responsibly managed his family. He empowered institutions like Jan Seva Mandal (Society to serve people) to create additional benefit in field of education. Which is why he established many schools and colleges in Juhu, Oshivara area, which enabled thousands of poor and needy students to acquire knowledge. Ignorance can be kept at bay through knowledge. That is why he held important posts for many years with educational institutes in Matunga, Naupada (Dahanu). He also was member, chief and President of his orphanage (where he lived) Behramji Jeejabhoy Home for Children, Matunga.
Juhu based Shri. Venkatraman and ex-trustee Shri. K. Devesan valuably contributed 'Nine Planets Deity' (Navgrah Murti) of Nine Black stone brought from Chennai to establish 'Nine Planets' Temple'. Many devotees visit this temple every Saturday in full faith. This temple has been and attraction in Mumbai Suburbs. In the premises of this temple, there is an old (tomb) Samadhi of Saptpurush (Seven Men). Above the tomb there is Paduka and idol of Nandi. Numbers of devotees come to this place every Saturday to offer oil to Maruti. Many festivals especially like Ramnavmi, Hanuman Jayanti, Dutta Jayanti, Mahashivratri, Shri. Kurma Jayanti are celebrated in Shri. Mukteshwar Temple. There is and traditional peepal tree and a small wall has be constructed for the devotees. As desired by Women devotees a Banyan tree has been planted and similarly small wall has been constructed. Devotees offer Pooja to Peepal and Banyan tree. There is also an old well in the premises of the Temple. The well-water is used for Temple usage.
During idol establishment, Shri. Krishnashankar Shashtri, who had accompanied Shri. Gagangiri Maharaj, handed over the fund of Rs. 3,500/- to Mr. Mhatre for Royal Offering (Rajbhog). Then onwards Mr. Mhatre stated the trend of offering the Royal Offering (Rajbhog) from the deposit interest of those devotees who donated at least Rs. One Thousand. Now this Royal Offering (Rajbhog) is offered all 365 days a year. For this purpose a separate cook is appointed. Also due to increasing work in the temple, the numbers of priest and employees are increasing. Oil and other related material for the worship is available at an economical rate in the temple. Now, instead of Old Lamp-range (Deep-mal), two new lamp-range, which have been brought from Saurashtra, of calcium carbonate (Chun-khadi)
Yellow-stone has been constructed by Hemandpanthi method in front of the temple on the above side.
After renovation, the entrance door, which is front of the temple, a limestone umbrella is constructed, in that an attractive idol of Shri. Gangadhari Mahadev (Shri. Mukteswari), which shows originating of river Ganga, is established.
Now, looking forward to establish idols of Saptpurush (Seven Men). On the wall of terrace, which is in front of temple.
